On February 20, 2025, in Shenzhen, the head of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Mr. Liang Hua, received the head of NC KTZ JSC, Nurlan Sauranbayev. The meeting focused on the progress of previously reached agreements and highlighted the successful completion of several projects by the end of 2024.

To date, significant work has been completed, including the upgrading of data transmission networks, the introduction of cloud technologies, and a pilot project for the LTE-R mobile communication standard. Additionally, the implementation of artificial intelligence has already begun.

The discussion also identified prospects for further cooperation. The companies agreed to begin the large-scale deployment of the LTE-R network on the Trans-Kazakhstan Railway Corridor in 2025, with the participation of leading Kazakhstan operators such as Kazakhtelecom JSC and TTC JSC.

Other topics on the agenda included exploring the use of industrial robots for track inspection and minor repairs, as well as discussing potential collaboration with Huawei to establish the College of the Future in Kazakhstan—an innovative educational center specializing in AI technologies.

Finally, the companies confirmed funding for key initiatives and approved a roadmap for joint projects throughout 2025.
