ETHNOVILLAGE

The village was built in the left-bank complex in 2010 by enthusiasts-local historians in just 28 days. The total area of the reserve is 10 hectares. One of the bright "exhibits" of the ethnovillage is a street consisting of 20 objects dating from the end of the XIX – mid XX centuries. Farmsteads, buildings, materials, clothing, household items – all this is recreated from archival materials and scientific literature. Here tourists have an excellent opportunity to get to know the history, traditions and culture of the region better.

HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

The first stone building in the city is located on Likharev Street on the territory of the Holy Trinity Monastery. It was here in August 1720 that Emperor Peter I ordered the foundation of the Ust-Kamenny Fortress. The fortress protected the possessions of the Russian Empire in Siberia from the Dzungars. Ust-Kamenny Fortress laid the foundation for the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

“SAULETAI” CHILDREN’S TOWN

The Sauletai children's town is located on the Slavsky embankment. The initiator of the construction of the children's town was the children's charity foundation. "Sauletai" is designed for children aged 10-11 years. The total area of the park is one hectare. The grand opening of the park took place in August 2002. The park is equipped with fabulous huts, funny houses, sports and playgrounds, slides, Indian wigwams. Various theatrical performances and festive events are held in the children's town.

KAZAKH ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

The museum buildings are architectural monuments of the late XIX- early XX century. There are expositions and exhibitions of Kazakh and Russian ethnography, exhibits illustrating the spiritual and material culture of peoples, as well as small ethnic groups that lived in the territory of the East Kazakhstan region. In total, about 35 thousand objects are stored in the museum. Special attention should be paid to the collection of carpet-felt products, collections of antique clothing, unique collections of icons, ancient books and coins.
