PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE “10 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE”

This is the only pedestrian cable-stayed bridge in Kazakhstan. It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest pedestrian bridge in the world. Its length is 551 meters. And by crossing this bridge, you can get from Europe to Asia in just 6 minutes. The bridge connects the city recreation area in the Victory Park region and the residential town of Atyrau Oil Refinery. Therefore, there are always a lot of Atyrau residents and visitors walking here.

ATYRAU REGIONAL MUSEUM OF FINE AND APPLIED ART NAMED AFTER SH. SARIEV

If you are a fan of Modigliani and Matisse, then you just need to go to the Shaimarden Sariev Museum in Atyrau. The surname Sariev is a sign of the highest quality, and his portraits are an example of high art. In 2018, the International Auction House Bonart compiled a rating of the most expensive Kazakhstani artists. Shaimerden Sariev was on the 5th place of this rating. His works are traded in the range of 15,000 to 35,000 dollars.

“IMANGALI” CENTRAL MOSQUE

The central mosque was built in the 2000s. Then the mayor of the city was Imangali Tasmagambetov, so the mosque is often called the "Imangali" mosque by the people. The Imangali Mosque is in the very center of Atyrau. The building is crowned by a large dome with an internal diameter of 7 meters and a height of 23 meters. On both sides, the mosque is decorated with 26-meter minarets. The mosque is trying to keep up with the progress. Imams' lessons or conversations are broadcast daily on social networks. Up to 5,000 people gather at the mosque for friday prayers, although the capacity of the premises is about 2,000 people.

RETRO-PARK

There is only one retro park in Kazakhstan, and it is in Atyrau. It is here that the monument to the cult ensemble of the 70-80's "Dos-Mukasan" is installed. The construction of the retro park began in February 2015. The park was built in the Residential Town microdistrict on the banks of the Ural River. The opening of the Retro Park in 2017 was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Dos-Mukasan group. The space is equipped in neoclassical style: with an amphitheater, a cafe, an exhibition pavilion, musical and luminous fountains and an artificial pond.
